Former model and model agent Janice Dickinson is the most high profile person to come forward and accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault, and now she has laid a defamation case on him for his comments about her accusation.
In her original statement in 2014, Dickinson said that Cosby invited her to dinner at Lake Tahoe, and believes she was drugged and raped by him. Dickinson said that she did not go to police when the attack happened, for fear of retaliation.
When Dickinson spoke out about her horrifying experience, he refuted her claims and called her “a liar”.
The 13 page complaint says that Cosby made the choice to vilify and publicly attack Dickinson, and she alleges that Cosby intentionally inflicted “emotional distress” and destroyed her professional reputation.
Dickinson is the second woman to sue Cosby for defamation – Tamara Green, who is a lawyer, also sued Cosby after he refuted her claims of sexual assault late last year.
