‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ Star Doris Roberts Has Passed Away At Age 90

Doris Roberts, star of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond‘ has sadly passed away. 
The long-serving actress, who was best known for her role as Raymond Barone‘s incredibly trying but loving mother Marie Barone in the show, which she won four of her five Emmy Awards for. 
Her career began in 1952, and includes credits such as ‘Cagney & Lacey’, ‘Grandma’s Boy’ and ‘St. Elsewhere’ (her guest role in the drama gained her her fifth Emmy). 
TMZ reported that she passed away in Los Angeles on Sunday morning local time, at the ripe age of 90. 
Patricia Heaton, her on-screen long-suffering daughter-in-law in ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, has paid tribute to the talented septuagenerian, saying that her passing marked ‘the end of an era’. 

Rest in peace Doris – truly a iconic talent, and much-loved veteran of the industry.
