Emoji To Add 250 New Characters To Your Vocabulary

Two hundred and fifty new Emojis, including ‘Derelict House Building’, ‘Man In Business Suit Levitating’, ‘Hole’ [not the band] and the Vulcan Salute, will find their way into all your correspondence at some point in the near future after Unicode – ‘an industry standard that regulates the presentation of text across different software platforms’ – was updated this morning to include hundreds of the substitutive pictograph symbols you use when you either care too much or not at all.
Per The Verge and the Unicode blogspot [?], when the new emoji will be unleashed is now up to Unicode member platforms like iOS and Android, who will have to “implement the new standard and develop pictographs to represent the emoji” – crucial updates to your non-verbal means of communication, like ‘Telephone On Top Of Modem’, ‘Om Symbol’ and ‘Notched Right Semicircle With Three Dots’.
Still no white wine emoji, and following that, still no ralphing emoji; also, still very little by way of emoji diversity
