Some legend in the US, Fernando Sosa, went ahead and made the kind of product we didn’t know was responsible for the gaping chasm in our depressing lives: with the handy help of a 3D printer, Sosa used the technology to print miniature Iron Throne for your iPhone to cradle in at night, ordering the slitting of other smart devices’ throats and sulking about the fools who dare challenge him. But then HBO exercised its well defined murdering muscle, as Red Wedding instigators are wont to do, and whispered a sweet nothing in to Sosa’s ear before elaborately slitting his technological love child’s throat. Apparently the copyright associated with Game Of Thrones meant HBO could be a total kill joy, inciting copyright infringement as justification for ordering all copies of the iron throne iphone dock to be halted on Sosa’s website, Nuproto.
According to The Age, Sosa recognised that the power of 3D printers, enabling to print guns, shoes, cars, and hell, probably a cheeseburger meal, will cause some problems in the near future. “A lot of new products are going to come out, and big companies are going to squash the little companies.”
