Charlotte Dawson Found Dead At Woolloomooloo Home

The former Australia’s Next Top Model judge Charlotte Dawson has been reportedly found dead at her Woolloomooloo home at the age of 47.

The New Zealand-born former model was found by police at her home just after 11:15am on Saturday. A police spokesman said that there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

In 2012, Dawson was admitted to hospital after being targeted by a torrent of online abuse. She spoke out about the helplessness she felt while being the target of online death threats, which were thrown at her with such ferocity she eventually tweeted ‘you win x’ with a picture of her holding a handful of tablets. She followed up with ‘Hope this ends the misery’ and was taken to hospital in the early hours of the morning.

Dawson said that the attacks got to her, but the anonymous attackers were cowards. “If you’re going to express those points of view, you should do it with a face and a name so that you can be accountable. It’s anonymity they celebrate because they think there are no consequences.”

The sad news was met with an outpouring of emotion on social media. Alex Perry posted a fitting tribute to his co-star on both Twitter and Instagram.
