The ‘Captain Marvel’ Trailer Is Here ‘Cos *Somebody* Has To Save The Planet

The first trailer for Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel has arrived, boasting the first look at the uber-powered hero in action. Also of note: THE 90s ARE BACK, BABY.

The all-too-brief clip shows the hero crash-landing through the roof of an operational Blockbuster Video, before establishing the hero’s history as a former Air Force pilot and confidante to a young Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

From there, the footage runs through her canonical appearance in Starforce, a intergalactic unit not yet explored in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Oh, it also showcases a few of her powers, like lightning hands. NBD.

Those powers are goddamn serious, too. In an earlier interview, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige intimated Captain Marvel is hands-down the most powerful character ever introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

That’ll come in handy, considering the events which transpired at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

Joining Larson and Jackson are Jude Law, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Gemma Chan, and even Clark Gregg as a young Agent Phil Coulson.

This one is set to hit cinema screens on March 8, 2019.
