Caitlyn Jenner is back at it again with alienating the trans community, this time comparing coming out as trans to telling people she’s a Republican.
In an interview with Elex Michaelson on FOX 11’s The Issue Is, Caitlyn Jenner talked about running as the Republican candidate for Governor of California.
When she was asked if Kim Kardashian was going to advise her on criminal justice reform like she did with Donald Trump, Jenner laughed and said that her family wasn’t thrilled about the fact that she’s running as a Republican.
“One thing, and I’ve talked to all my family about running for governor and to be honest with you, it was easier to come out as trans than as a Republican candidate for governor, it was a lot tougher to sell,” she said.
Gee, I wonder fucking why.
People are pretty mad about the comparison between gender identity and political party, for obvious reasons.
Okay but honestly how fucking DARE Caitlyn Jenner say it was easier to come out as trans than republican and give the republicans even more reasons to believe that they're more persecuted than trans people.

Comparing an experience like coming out as trans to being a Republican not only invalidates the trauma and transphobia many trans people experience when coming out, but it also panders to the idea that Republicans are an oppressed minority in need of protection and preservation – which, obviously, is some bullshit.
The ignorant comments come after a series of problematic moves Caitlyn Jenner has made against the trans community, including wanting to ban trans girls from competing in female sports, and proposing a commission to investigate which trans girls are “truly trans”, whatever that means.
Now that you got yours, you’ll make sure every other trans person isn’t safe.
Yeah, you’re definitely a Republican.

The ongoing war she seems to be waging against trans rights has led a lot of people to question her support and involvement in the LGBTQIA+ community, with people calling out her transphobia and general cluelessness when it comes to the broader trans experience.
Caitlyn Jenner is anti-trans. She doesn’t understand the science, and she is pandering to the ignorance of anti-trans people. I have absolutely no problem saying Caitlyn Jenner supports and directly benefits from transphobia. https://t.co/wWZcUTPqj6

Make no mistake; @Caitlyn_Jenner is only okay with systemically making the trans experience worse because she’s rich enough & powerful enough to not experience transness the way anybody else feasibly does. It’s self-hate combining with power-hungriness to make… whatever this is pic.twitter.com/GGq0aulsre

Caitlyn Jenner JK Rowling
rich white ladies who've come to dominate trans politics the last 6 years, even though they're both clueless about trans people & issues, & most trans people desperately want them to leave us alone.

We shouldn’t be surprised at Caitlyn Jenner’s consistently ignorant and exclusive approach to trans issues. Or her shitty politics in general. I mean, the fact that anyone can take Caitlyn Jenner seriously after this cringe trainwreck of a tweet, is beyond me:
When elected Governor of California, I will CANCEL, cancel culture and wake up the woke.
— Caitlyn Jenner (@Caitlyn_Jenner) May 27, 2021
The only person who needs waking up is Caitlyn Jenner, who is actually selling “Cancel Cancel Culture” t-shirts, can you believe.
