‘Budgie Smugglers’ & Heaps O’ Internet Slang Now Oxford Dictionary-Official

Today, a bunch of words got added to the Oxford English Dictionary, including ‘budgie smugglers‘.
Let’s be honest, this term is an absolute staple in any true Australian’s vocabulary; how on earth was it not already in the dictionary? But never mind – it’s there now.
1000 words and terms were added in the Oxford English Dictionary‘s quarterly update, and there will be plenty who are angry about some of the entires.
Internet terminologies like ICYMI, TBH, ROFL, and FWIW were added, as well as the phrases ‘taking candy from a baby‘ and ‘sister from another mister‘.
Also, ‘fro-yo’, ‘starter marriage‘, ‘glamping‘, ‘dudette‘, ‘stupid o’clock‘, ‘air-punching‘, and ‘bovver‘ – as in the British pronunciation of ‘bother’, made into a global phrase by comedian Catherine Tate
Last month, OED Senior Editor Jonathon Dent posted a blog entry explaining some of their decisions. Because the fact is, the English language is not a stagnant thing; it’s fluid and it evolves, as all languages do.
Deal w/ it. Lol jk.
