Bali Police On High Alert As Terror Threats Made Against Two Cities

Police in Bali, who remain on high alert after recent blasts in Jakarta, are investigating a threatening letter that was sent to a local government office in Buleleng, saying that the cities of Denpasar and Singaraja are targets for subsequent attacks.
The letter warned that members of the terror network responsible for the attacks near Sarinah shopping complex are “ready to blow up these cities”, saying that shopping centres, offices and tourist destinations are potential locations
Buleleng police chief Heri Heriyadi said that the letter was delivered to the local government office around 9am, and that the situation turned “chaotic” when it was opened.
He added:

“It was a threatening letter, one of our team was there, saw the letter and the ruckus, they immediately took the letter and witnesses to police station, so we can do an immediate follow up. Regardless of whether the letter is serious or not, we always take it seriously. Once we have something, we will notify the media.”
The Australian government currently advises travellers to exercise a high degree of caution when travelling through Indonesia.
