Sydney Artist Anthony Lister Charged With Sexually Assaulting Four Women Between 2015 & 2018

Sydney-based artist Anthony Lister has been charged with sexually assaulting multiple women, and is facing additional charges related to tattooing a woman’s face without her consent.

Lister, 40, was arrested at his Darlinghurst home yesterday morning and taken to the Surry Hills police station, where he was charged with a string of offences.

Police allegedLister sexually assaulted four women – three of whom were art students – at his home on seperate occasions between 2015 and 2018. It’s also alleged Lister tattooed three lines on one of the art students without her consent.

Detectives executed two search warrants on Tuesday: one at Lister’s Darlinghurst home, the other at an industrial space in Marrickville. They seized four replica pistols, knuckle dusters, prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, and cannabis oil; computers, mobile phones, digital cameras, SD cards, and other electronic equipment.

Lister has been charged with grievous bodily harm to person with intent, five counts of sexual intercourse without consent, use intoxicating substance to commit indictable offence, four counts of possess prohibited firearm, seven counts of possess prohibited drug, and possess prohibited weapon.

He has been refused bail. Inquiries are continuing.
