A light plane has crashed into the Swan River in Perth during Australia Day celebrations.
Video and photo from the many spectators of the accident hit social media as soon as it happened. One video appears to show a plane flying erratically overhead before crashing into the water.

The ABC reports that firefighters are heading to the scene to board the craft and extract any people onboard.
