Getting into guarded places is tricky: bank vaults, the pants of someone you fancy, fashan shows, rooms full of sweaty tube socks – especially when you don’t even go [t]here.
Drake got Mean Girls Intervention Scened overnight after the Miami Heat won their second consecutive NBA Final and he attempted to head backstage [?] to the Heat dressing room – probably so he could say ‘#YOLO’ or whatever to his pal LeBron James. When he got there, however, poor lil’ Drizzy had his Access: Denied.
“No access, only media” Drake was told at the entrance to the locker room, Land of His Dreamz, forever out of reach; to which he replied: “I am media.”
Did Drake mean ‘I am The Media‘? Or perhaps, ‘I am Medea, daughter of King Aeëtes, niece of Circe, granddaughter of the sun god Helios, and wife of Jason’? Or maybe even ‘I am Me, dear’?
Whatever he meant, that’s some Classic Aubrey behaviour right there, and that old chestnut works every time.
Drake was eventually permitted access to his wildest dreams.
