When something gets super popular, people involved with it tend to clutch it a little closer to the chest.
That’s why James Corden‘s ‘Carpool Karaoke‘ hasn’t exactly been smashing your news feed to bits in the way that it used to: Thanks to the wonderful quirk of international distribution and “first air rights,” ‘The Late Late Show‘ has to geo-block YouTube uploads of the segments in Australia until Eleven (not even straight-up Channel Ten, if you don’t mind) has had a chance to air them.
So instead of bouncing around to car bangers at the same time as the rest of the world, we have to sit on our hands and wait a full 24 hours or so.
Fortunately for all y’all, you’ve already endured that wait – mostly without knowing. The time period has expired, and we are all now free to gorge ourselves on the feast of tunes from Bruno Mars as he swans about town trying on various hats and laying down the business as Corden once again gets to show off his surprisingly decent pipes.
It’s Bruno Mars. The songs are catchy. And the hats? Oh man, the hats.
Sure, it’s a day late. But hey, the rest of the world can eat it.
