Description: We make radio. The focus is on Sydney music, arts + culture with really, really good music being our specialty.
Position: Programming intern
Location: Sydney
Paid or Unpaid: This is community radio – unpaid (but if you’re nice then we can probably hook you up with some CDs & gig tickets)
Length of internship: 2 days per week over ten weeks
Start date – end date: Mid November
Job Description: You’ll be working closely with the programming team on weekly tasks – managing the broadcasting team, podcasting, working in the music library, updating the FBi website etc. You may also be working on upcoming events such as the FBi SMAC awards. We’ll try to give you a broad experience. You’ll be reporting to the Programming Coordinator.
Requirements & Preferred experience: None. You just have to be literate, intelligent & passionate about making radio.
Skills & Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of pro tools or audition is a big plus. Basic web editing skills would be useful.
