V Raw Is Turning Japanese

Now usually I’d dismiss these claims as straight up jealousy from out of touch journalists but sometimes you have to take a step back and agree. Exhibit A: In their latest job of the week V Raw are offering one lucky Australian an all expenses paid internship at Channel V – in the land of the rising sun. Start your music TV production career by learning how it all comes together, right now, as a Production Assistant on the Japan episode of B430 Season 2.

Location: Sydney & Niseko, Japan

Position: Internship – Production Assistant on B430

Paid or Unpaid: Unpaid

Length of contract if freelancing: 4 weeks approximately

Start date – end date: Pre production- 14/12-14/12 Shoot – 2/1-15/1 (TBC)

Job Description: The Production Assistant will get to work on an episode of B430 shot in Japan. There will be approximately 2 weeks pre-production and the lucky person will also be flown to Niseko, Japan for 14 days (TBC) so they can help out with the shoot on location.

The Production Assistant responsibilities will include:

-Providing administrative and production support to the Senior Producers, Associate Producers and Supervising Producer to ensure the content and daily TV operations run smoothly and successfully.
-Assisting in the sourcing of information, vision and logistics for content creation.
-Responsible for all the tapes and material being logged in and out of the music channels’ tape library.
-Responsible for shot listing and logging of all tapes and material shot by the channel.
-Responsible for the creation of all shot material into the library and data management system including all music reporting (APRA, AMCOS)
-Assisting all production crew on shoots
-Attending all Production, Staff and Company meetings as instructed.

Required skills and competencies:
– Organised, initiative, good team player who takes direction
– Demonstrated interest in television and Music
– Thorough understanding or willingness to learn the processes involved in making live and post produced TV.

Other:
– Working hours will be 9.30-5.30pm Monday to Friday (extra hours may be required working while on Location)
