In what must be the greatest porcelain-skinned, ranga alliance since ever – Patrick Wolf has announced that he will collaborate with actress Tilda Swinton on upcoming album “Battle”.
That Swinton can’t sing is of no consequence as she’ll be providing the “voice of hope” a spoken word role on four tracks. Intrigued? I know I am.
Wolf approached the actress by slipping a CD and hand written note to her at a premier and she responded a few days later. Swinton says of Wolf’s music:
“My feeling is that we all but certainly come from the same planet: kith and kin. His music sounds like the great unexpressed soundtrack of a great film I want to see – and try to catch every night before I go to sleep. It’s a lovely thing to be part of that magical landscape.”
