We’ve waded through an entire universe of edits, imitators and remixes of varying dodginess since the release of this pant wetting but achingly brief teaser video for jaunty new Nile Rodgers, Pharrell and Daft Punk single “Get Lucky”, the first from the latter’s heavily anticipated new album Random Access Memories. Now though, we might finally have something to hang our mirror balls on.
The crucial difference between this cut (which you can now stream in full below) and all previous versions is that this one houses legit-sounding Pharrell verses previously unheard anywhere else and doesn’t sound like it took ten minutes to produce in a high school computer science lab. Mix, production or structure wise this might not be the definitive version of the song most likely to get you laid this year but it’s certainly getting closer. Have at it below…
