New York cowbell aficionados The Rapture have confirmed that a trip to Australia is on the cards in 2012, including a possible slot on the Future Music Festival lineup.
The band’s front man Luke Jenner told triple j: “Yeah I can’t wait to get back. I mean Australia has kept me alive for the last 5 years and kept food on the table for me and my family. So I have a deep respect for Australia and the people and it’s just so much fun to play there.”
“It hasn’t been announced yet but I think in March hopefully we’ll be back for Future [Music Festival]. I don’t think I’m technically supposed to tell you that so let’s just keep that between you, me and the rest of Australia.”
Ah ha! We’re guessing this means they’ll be dropping their forthcoming record In The Grace of Your Love toward the end of this year.
Now can we please take a moment to talk about how much the chorus of their single “How Deep Is Your Love?” sounds like the chorus of Sisqo’s “The Thong Song”. Seriously.
