The Federal Police are Not Thrilled About Lily Allen’s Twitter Prank

For a person whose entire career is built around mocking the trappings of tabloid culture, Lily Allen sure knows how to stir up a little controversy in order to get attention.
The singer made a flying visit to Australia this past week, to perform at Splendour In The Grass and sexually confuse Kochie with her backing dancers on Sunrise, but she also found the time to get into trouble with the law.
The trouble began when Allen arrived at the Gold Coast AirportBillboard report that she asked the officers who were ushering her through the terminal to handcuff her and put her on her knees, as if she was being placed under arrest.

She then Tweeted and Instagrammed a photo of this ‘uh oh, I’m in trouble’ moment, to the amusement and delight of her fans, and the tut tutting of local police. She has since taken the photo down, but authorities are still not amused.

“At her request members involved placed open handcuffs for a photo opportunity,” a spokesman for the Federal Police. “It appears the members involved were caught in the moment and standard protocol were breached. It is subject to internal processes.”

Allen is currently on her way to L.A and is fangin’ for some fast food.

Meanwhile, some poor soul at the Gold Coast is getting busted down to desk duties.
