Tame Impala Customised Some White Chuck Taylors For You

Here’s a charity project we love.
For the past 18 months, Warner Music Australia in collaboration with Converse, Sharpie and eBay have asked some of the world’s biggest music acts to customise a pair of plain white Chuck Taylors with nothing but a Sharpie and their imaginations. The shoes, 70 pairs in total, are to be sold at auction on eBay where all proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to coincide with Cancer Awareness Month or the charity of the artist’s choice.
And what a list of artists it is! Featured doodlers include Architecture in Helsinki, The Black Keys, Bon Iver, Kimbra, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Moby, New Order, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Santigold, Skrillex and Wavves as well as Aussie psych lords Tame Impala whose designs we have the pleasure of premiering right now!
Ta-da!

These hand designed, one of a kind works of art will be auctioned off at the end of October via a global auction on eBay with proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or Charity of the artist’s choice. A public exhibition will be held from midday to 7pm on Sunday October 27th at The Standard in Sydney where all 70 sneaker designs will be on display. The auction, hosted on ebay, will go live on Thursday October 24th at 6pm and bidders will be able to start their bids from $99. The auction will close on Tuesday October 29th with all sneakers and a certificate of authenticity being shipped to their lucky new owners on October 30th.
