The Year Of Hibernation is the debut album by Youth Lagoon aka Trevor Powers. The album, which he wrote in his bedroom and recorded at the home studio of friend Jeremy Park, is a dreamy lo-fi breakthrough. Chiming keyboards, fuzzy guitar chords and inflections of ambient electronica all ease through the hazy production underneath Powers’ tender falsetto. It’s sublimely pretty and punk imperfection all at once.
