Not content with a hugely successful 20+ year career including as Blur and Gorillaz frontman, Damon Albarn is about to release a new solo album Dr Dee. The eternally-boyish darling of British pop music teamed up with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for an 18-track album that Albarn describes as “strange pastoral folk”. If he added “terrific” into the mix, that description would have been spot on.
