Stars Were Told To Stay The Hell Away From Disastrous Bahamas Fest

The Fyre Festival – a luxurious music and camping event in the Bahamas, with tickets so expensive that only the richest of the Rich Kids Of Instagram need apply – seemed way too good to be true.
It turns out that the event was too good to be true – ticket-holders arrived on Great Exuma islands to find complete and utter chaos – a ramshackle tent city, wild dogs, piles of trash, pissed-off local security guards and minimal facilities.
It seems more and more like organisers Ja Rule and Billy McFarland may find themselves in deep shit, especially since it appears that they warned some high-profile attendees to stay the hell away, knowing disaster would soon strike.
Models Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Hailey Baldwin and Bella Hadid all appeared in Fyre Festival promotional materials, but The New York Times reports that A-list guests received frantic phone calls before the mayhem kicked off.
“They called all the A-list names and the modelling agencies and told them not to come,” a source told Page Six. “They were just like, ‘Oh, come next weekend when all the kinks have been worked out.’ This was before the chaos even started.”
Some frantic guests are still reportedly stranded at the event, which has reportedly descended into a Hunger Gameslevel shitshow at this point.
“Everybody who was organising the festival took off,” the source continued. “They abandoned it. They put up a shitty stage, took millions of dollars, and then left everybody stranded.”
“It was like a scene out of that movie Exodus. There were people with bags, not knowing what to do. I feared for people’s safety, it got so bad.”
Ja Rule has taken to Twitter to try and do some damage control, insisting that Fyre Fest was “NOT A SCAM” and that the hectic state of affairs is “NOT MY FAULT.”
