Splendour In The Grass Just Dropped Its 2018 Dates So Prep Yr Leave Requests

Mates, there’s a fair chance at least a few of you have yet to fully unload the esky or hose off the tent since last July, but now might be the time to put on that gas mask and dump the rotting soup of half-eaten salsa, two leaking beers, a quarter loaf of bread and about six months of accumulated rainwater down the drain, because Splendour in the Grass has dropped their dates for the 2018 festival which means the prep work is already underway.

But in addition to the 2018 dates (we’ll get to that in a minute, we swear), festival organisers are also asking punters to help them keep Splendour at the North Byron Parklands, which has served as the fest’s home for the past five years.

The festival’s presence at North Byron has been on a trial basis, but now a permanent stay is on the cards and Splendour has put the call out for public support and comment, which will then be passed on to the NSW Government in submission of their case.

You can hit up Help Parklands with your posi vibes and memories if you feel like lending your voice to their case.

Now then, the dates. The all-important dates.

Grab your freshly cracked-open calendars and start prepping your leave forms, mates. The 2018 Splendour in the Grass festival is officially going down from…

Friday, July 20 until Sunday, July 22.

There you have it. The dead of winter? Sure. But those sweet-ass temperate conditions up in northern New South Wales oughta be enough to keep the bones warm while you boogie the weekend away.

Quite obviously there’s no word on lineup or ticket information at the moment. But it’s a destination festival that’ll have something for you no matter who ends up playing.

Get keen, mates! Winter is coming.
