Time to get parochial as Sydneysiders are wont to do, so excuse the naval gazing interstate readers. There’s plenty about this city worth celebrating though from little known bands and street artists to club nights and state funded arts events. Now in it’s 3rd year, FBi radio proudly presents the Sydney Music, Arts and Culture Awards or SMACs. The 2010 nominees have just been unveiled recognizing the innovators, creators and culture makers “who keep Sydney’s creative heart beating”.
Pedestrian is super proud to present the “Best Collective” category (vote here) which reads something like this: vintage pop-up store vs. culinary weirdos vs. crafty publishers vs. cerebral beatmakers vs. multidisciplinary artists vs. philanthropic DJs. Only in Sydney? Only in Sydney.
