Second to the money, probably the next best bit about being famous is being able to do crazy shit for fun and knowing that millions of people will have to try and figure out what the fuck is going on.
Is there some amazing subtext to Rihanna photoshopping Queen Elizabeth II‘s face on to photos of herself? Fucked if I know, but she’s sure doing it:

Were these some sort of belated birthday nod to the Queen, who turned 91 on April 21st? I honestly couldn’t tell you. What I can tell you is that even a cursory scroll through the comments on the IG posts shows a lot of very, very pissed of poms – a large number of which also decided to get super racist for some reason.
It’s all extremely weird and occasionally quite sinister:
It seems to be that crudely photoshopping a monarch’s head onto a different body in a dope outfit is much, much less of a crime than say, a lineage of murderous colonialism and imperialism, the tenets of which underpin a lot of modern racist attitudes, but that’s none of my damn business.
Normally I wouldn’t have an opinion on this, but if it makes British people disgruntled, I’m 100% on board. Never stop, Rihanna.
