Harmonic, angel-faced Staten Island meme generators the PS22 Chorus have covered the second single from Tame Impala’s sophomore album Lonerism, ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards‘ to pretty spectacular results. Earlier this year the choir performed a cover of That Song You Used To Know to equally as adorable results rivalled only by their rendition of Lisztomania. With so many vocal talents and their instant ability to generate coverage (and maybe even record contracts or Broadway debuts), competition for solos at PS22 must be fierce. Like Queen Latifah fierce. It’s like the Fame school of the Internet era but with hopefully less drama and/or leg-warmers.
But I digress. It would seem the band, who shared the video on their Facebook page earlier this morning would also agree that this is a cover worth covering. To borrow their phrase, “HOLY BAJOLY BATMAN.”
