Gather round, everyone – Splendour In The Grass has sprung a leak, after potential headliners provided delicious, potential spoilers for the 2015 lineup.
This morning on an interview with Matt and Alex on Triple J Breakfast, Tord and Dan from The Wombats had a li’l chat about their upcoming album, Glitterbug, but went one step too far – when Matt and Alex asked the lads if they had plans to return Down Under anytime soon, they said coming back in July was definitely on the cards. An on-air producer then promptly told them, in much subtler terms, to STFU.
The keeping-it-hush-hush, and the July date doesn’t confirm, but surely does point towards The Wombats taking the stage at Splendour in The Grass: the band played Splendour in 2008, they played Falls in 2013/2014, and their touring schedule is conveniently clear after the second week of July this year. Splendour is usually held in the last week of that month.

Meanwhile, other Splendour unsubstantiated rumours can be speculated from this year’s Fuji Rock Festival – the notorious barometer for what acts Splendour can expect. This year, Muse, Foo Fighters and FKA Twigs headline.
