Police Shut Down Hot Dub Time Machine Show, Ejected Teens Riot Outside

Overnight, NSW Police shut down an all-ages Hot Dub Time Machine show at The Enmore Theatre over alleged safety concerns, as hundreds of ejected patrons lined nearby streets, some rioting and smashing windows in frustration.
Police ended the performance at about 9.45, after responding to “a number of adverse incidents involving juveniles and alleged licensing breaches”, and began ushering audience members outside.
Many angry fans have taken to social media to demand refunds for the cancelled show, and have blamed the younger portion of the crowd for the disruption. Photographer Pat Stevenson, described the scene, saying:
Hot Dub Time Machine just got shut down by the police, rampaging teens who got ejected were smashing windows and being little fucks around the neighbourhood, such a shame, it was wild!
Tom Lowndes of Hot Dub Time Machine took to Instagram overnight to apologise to fans, saying he would “make sure this never happens again” at a show.
Police from Newtown Local Area Command received a short term closure order from Parramatta Local Court, and served the licensee and manager of The Enmore overnight.
The venue was closed until midnight, but police say they will “continue to patrol in the area to ensure compliance and licensing officers will investigate the alleged breaches.”
