Panic! At The Disco Singer Brendon Urie Officially Comes Out As Pansexual

Panic! At The Disco front man and object of our deep and ongoing affection Brendon Urie has come out as pansexual, giving an interviewer a frank assessment of his views on gender and sexuality.

Speaking with Paper magazine for a profile published this week, the 31-year-old singer said:

“I’m married to a woman and I’m very much in love with her but I’m not opposed to a man because to me, I like a person. Yeah I guess you could qualify me as pansexual because I really don’t care. If a person is great, then a person is great.”

He continued:

“I just like good people, if your heart’s in the right place. I’m definitely attracted to men. It’s just people that I am attracted to. I guess this is me coming out as pansexual.”

Last week, Brendon Urie announced that he would be donating a million dollars to Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network to use towards their advocacy work in high schools.

One of his aims is for the establishment of student-led gay-straight alliance clubs in high schools across the US. He said of his donation, made through his newly-launched Highest Hopes foundation:

“For years my fans have inspired me with their determination and creativity as they have created a safe and inclusive community. I felt the time had come for me to join them boldly, to bring that energy and power to bear on the huge challenges facing our whole society.”
