It’s not been 24 hours since the good folks over at Splendour in the Grass dropped the 2016 festival dates.
But punters are already inundating the official Facebook page with requests for but one man to headline: unofficial national treasure Shannon Noll.
We mean reallyyyyyyyy flooding that fucker: from polls to mock-posters, the thirst for Nollsy action is insatiable.
Then someone who almost definitely isn’t Nollsy piped up, and it was 10/10:
At this stage, Nollsy’s gotta be Australia’s #1 most requested headliner: there’s been a Change.org petition to have him added to the Groovin’ The Moo 2016 lineup (#ShannonNollForGTM2016) – a request he’s already put his full support behind – and hopes were high that he’d get a last-minute bait to Falls last year.
It didn’t happen, but it was written into history anyway:

Regardless of whether or not he’s added to the Splendour lineup, we can all look forward to the 13th annual ‘Shannon Noll Was Robbed of Winning Australian Idol‘ Memorial, a Facebook event scheduled for November 19th.
Almost 12,000 have already RSVP’d to the day of remembrance, which will see protestors converge on the Sydney Opera House to mourn the greatest wrong in Aussie music history: his loss to Guy Sebastian on Australian Idol.
“We will be converging on the steps of the Sydney Opera House where this tragedy took place to pay our respects to Shannon and reflect on this national tragedy,” the event page declares. “We will be playing Shannon’s music all afternoon followed by a moment’s silence to reflect and mourn, finishing up with a mass burning of Guy Sebastian CD’s and merchandise.”
