Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ Turns 20

Tomorrow marks the 20th anniversary of Nirvana’s generation-defining opus Nevermind which means that dollar-hungry floating baby is an adult and Pedestrian HQ is officially full of decrepit old people. To celebrate, our friends at CinemaLive will screen the Seattle trio’s never before seen “Live At The Paramount” gig tonight at the following participating cinemas. We highly recommend you go see that.

Elsewhere, Sydney menswear boutique Meanwhile are offering 20% off for anyone prepared to sing two lines from their favourite Nevermind track in store. Vocal renditions must be audible to EVERYONE who happens to be in the store at the time (you didn’t think it would be that easy did you?) but considering they stock Rag and Bone, Vanishing Elephant and Three Over One, any momentary shame will be totally worth it. You could also just wait til it’s you and a shop assistant…

Finally, Pedestrian have 5 x commemorative t-shirts and Nevermind CDs to giveaway (20th Anniversary Double Deluxe Edition with 40 tracks including rarities and outtakes). To win, comment below and tell us about the best thing to happen to you while a Nevermind track was playing. Have a great weekend everyone!
