As evidenced by the sun-kissed video for “Solid Gold” and the darker more shamanic number below, Melbourne based art collective Moop Jaw and New York Disco revivalists The Golden Filter give good video. In their latest effort, “Thunderbird”, a group of twenty-somethings dance and twirl around in a dimly lit room, construct a quilt pile, collectively pass out then draw symbols on each others’ faces. We’re unsure as to whether this is a cult we’d consider joining or another Friday night in Melbourne.
