Today brings with it not only the untold promises of a new day but also the second round of acts who’ve been announced for Southbound and Falls Festival.
Icelandic troubadour Ásgeir, recently in the country for Splendour In The Grass, will make an appearance at both as the only international addition to a lineup that already includes festival heavyweights like Alt-J, Cold War Kids, Jamie XX, Robyn & Röyksopp, SBTRKT and Todd Terje. Southbound have also this morning announced the talent who’ll be appearing as part of their Comedy Program, which this year will offer hilarious respite in the form of sets by Luke McGregor, Urzila Carlson, Tommy Dassalo, Damien Powers, Harley Breen and Daniel Townes.
Also added to the Byron Bay and Lorne legs of Falls are a bevy of local talent, including Art of Sleeping, Cloud Control, Dan Sultan, Fishing, Kingswood, Megan Washington, Northeast Party House and Thelma Plum; Charlotte OC will play Lorne, while Dan Sultan has also been added to Marion Bay.
Last time we checked in with Southbound, we announced that we’d be giving away two VIP packages to the prospective punter with the most impressive New Years Resolution. It then gives us an inordinate amount of pleasure to announce that Ashley Morris is the lucky recipient of that prize – including flights, a money-can’t-buy experience and the opportunity to have his bed turnt down for him.
