Julian Casablancas Has Been Added To Falls And Southbound Festivals

As if you needed any extra reason to be sold on the New Years Mayhem that is the Falls Festival and its little sister Southbound, both lineups have been given a big, ole’ fashioned boost today, to couple with the news that tickets are officially beginning to run thin.

The festivals have dropped the announcement that Julian Casablancas and The Voidz have been casually tacked on to the bill, with organisers successfully finding a little bit of wiggle room in the already completely stacked lineup to squeeze the former Strokes frontman and his ragtag backing band in.
The addition of Casablancas also comes coupled with something of an alarm bell: If you’re keen to go, you better get cracking. Falls officially revealed that tickets for its Byron Bay iteration have officially sold out, sitting it alongside Lorne as a thing you can no longer pay money to get into. So if you’re planning on heading to the Falls Festival this year, Marion Bay in Tasmania is your last remaining hope – take my word for it, it’s a damned good hope too; the place is absolutely GORGEOUS.
Both Falls and Southbound have phenomenally amazing lineups this year, which feature the likes of The Black Lips, Cold War Kids, Röyskopp & Robyn, Joey Bada$$, Jamie xx, The John Butler Trio, The Kite String Tangle, The Temper Trap, Vance Joy, The Presets and heaps more.
