Little May’s Instrumentalist Has A Brand New Solo Tune For You To Get Into

Contributor: Pedestrian

Little May‘s multi-instrumentalist Mark Harding has been steadily chipping away at an EP throughout 2016 and 2017, and he got a lot of love for his first single Say It Too, which scored 1.5 million streams. Even Richard Kingsmill said it had a “great feel happening,” which as we all know is high praise indeed.

Now he’s out with another single, Grow. First written five years ago, Mark says it’s about that big decisions that change your life:

I started writing ‘Grow’ five years ago when I was finishing a degree I had no interest in. I felt like there was pressure to start earning money when all I wanted to do was sing and write songs. One day it struck me how little I had achieved in three of ‘the best years of my life’. I had this rush of anxiety where it suddenly seemed like I only had minutes and seconds to make up for years of lost time.

A couple of months after writing the song I responded to a Facebook status by Liz of Little May asking for someone to play bass, because of that I’ve spent the last five years playing in bands and writing songs.

Check it out here. It’s got a real Porcupine Tree vibe at times, which is a comparison Mark may or may not enjoy.
