After being swamped by countless entries from across Australia, Lost Valentinos have announced the winner of their “Cities of Gold” Competiton, to celebrate the release of their debut album of the same name.
After distributing rare gold coins over the course of their Splendour in the Grass shows and national Conquistadisco Tour, the www.lostvalentinos.com website was overwhelmed with entries from fans wanting to visit Peru and discover the inspiration behind their album Cities of Gold. Led by a Peruvian guide, the winner Gerardo Balcon and his son, a ‘young man full of hunger for knowledge of his background’ will spend 6 days exploring the trails of the Ancient Inca Civilisation as they travel through remote Peru.
We’re extremely happy for Gerardo and his son, but mainly we’re just jealous. Regardless we still wish them a safe trip in Peru (even though we wish it was us).
