Lorde Curating Cute Teen Mixtape For ‘THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKINGJAY PART I’

Preternaturally gifted teen president elect Lorde has today been announced as the sole curator of the only mixtape Miss Garven lets us play during fifth period Visual Art, hereafter known as the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I soundtrack.
Lorde, who previously recorded a cover of Tears For Fears ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’ for the Catching Fire OST, “also wrote the first single off the soundtrack [and is supposedly] jumping up and down on my hotel room bed” at the prospect of sharing the news that she’ll be banking even harder on that YA blockbuster franchise cheque.
“To be at the helm of a project like this is easily the most responsibility i’ve ever had,” wrote Lorde on her Tumblr blog, where she has also discovered the photographs of Diane Arbus and an umbrella that looks like butter lettuce. “And to me, that says something kind of amazing about the way the world is changing – a globally successful film franchise is allowing a teenager to run their shit. we are opening doors, we are moving walls. this makes me so insanely happy.

the first single from the soundtrack is a brand new song i wrote with joel. to use a really bad pun, it’s fire.

love you so much. thanks for all you’ve given me. can’t wait to tell you more.”
