Kendrick Lamar Announces Official Release Date Of Upcoming Album

It’s only March, but 2015 is already shaping up to be promising as hell as far as landmark music releases go: Yeezy announced the title of his upcoming album this week—’So Help Me God’—, M.I.A released a surprise track this morning ahead of her album that’s likely to drop in the middle of this year; and now, none other than Kendrick M.F Lamar has announced the release date of his third and highly-anticipated album.

On twitter, ur boy/ya bish Kendrick linked to this, the iTunes listing for his upcoming release. The album artwork and title leave a whole lot to the imagination (blank and “untitled”, respectively, though these are likely to update upon release), but what we can discern from the album’s listing is its release date: March 23. It’s just over two weeks away, which is certainly not enough time to fully prepare one’s self for new Kendrick Lamar, of all things.  And yet, we’ll have to.

There’s sixteen tracks on this beauty, only one of which is confirmed: The Blacker The Berry, a single released last year. Surprisingly, Kendrick’s track “i”, which was also released last year, isn’t confirmed on the upcoming album. But it could still appear, come March 23. In case it doesn’t, listen below.
