Julia Gillard To Induct Kylie Into ARIA Hall Of Fame

The ARIA Awards have just dropped their secret weapon in the form of Prime Minister Julia Gillard, who will be inducting Our Kylie into the Hall Of Fame on Sunday night.

Just in case you were worried that the ARIAs may have finally decided to enlist relevant presenters, they trump us all with possibly the biggest mismatch of our time; Melbourne’s sexiest export being handed a pointy thing by Canberra’s queen of demure. A close second is actor David Wenham (“Tonight, we dine on my abs!”) who will be bestowing honours upon The Wiggles. Clearly Hi-5, B1 or B2 and the anyone from the cast of Playschool was unavailable.

Joining the lineup of hander-overerers (yes, that is now a word) who will say three words before the montage starts is Divynls frontwoman Chrissy Amphlett (Hopefully won’t touch herself on stage), Richard Wilkins (Hopefully won’t let Karl Stefanovic on stage) and the mother of them all, Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac fame (that one’s just too obvious).

None of this changes the fact that Gotye will still win everything.
