St Jerome’s Laneway Festival is barely on our radar yet and we’ve already got our first artist announcement: A.B. Original will be both performing and MCing the event at all five Aussie dates.
Revealed at Bigsound‘s arvo keynote address today, the lads are the first showing on the lineup. A.B. Original, in case you’re not in the know, is the hip hop duo made up of Briggs and Trials, both of whom are heavy-hitters themselves. The lads – who come from the Yorta Yorta and Ngarrindjeri tribes respectively – give voice to indigenous issues through huge, trunk-rattling West Coast influenced hip-hop tunes.
The single January 26th will prob go off with a solid festy crowd, just saying:
Keep your ears peeled – the full Laneway lineup will drop on Wednesday, 14th of September. Get yer ticket booking fingers ready – they’d surely be pretty fast nowadays.
