Have A Listen To Kanye Chucking An Epic Tanty Backstage Pre-‘SNL’ Gig

The news that Kanye West chucked an epic tanty before his SNL performance last Saturday came as little-to-no surprise, but now audio of his meltdown has emerged and blow me, the bloke’s bloody cooked it.

In the clip – obtained by Page Six – Kanye can be heard telling NBC staff “don’t fuck with me, don’t fuck with me”, calling Taylor Swift a “fake ass”, and saying that he is 50% more influential than any other human being, “dead or alive”, who has ever graced this planet of ours:

“Are they fucking crazy? Whoa by 50% [I am more influential than] Stanley Kubrick, Picasso, Apostle Paul, fucking Picasso and Escobar. By 50% more influential than any other human being. Don’t fuck with me. Don’t fuck with me. Don’t fuck with me. By 50% dead or alive, by 50% for the next 1,000 years. Stanley Kubrick, ‘Ye.”

“It was like he was having an emotional breakdown,” said one source. “The only thing that stopped him from actually leaving right then was that nobody had access to the freight elevator. It he’d walked out on the live show, it would have been a disaster. And the whole meltdown was just because of the floor.”

Apparently, SNL crew had removed the shiny flooring from his set because it was reflecting the stage lights and effing up the wall behind him. Kim, who was in the audience, had to come backstage and console him.

Listen to the meltdown here:

It’s been a big ol’ few weeks for Kanye, and perhaps the pressure of launching Yeezy Season 3, going head-to-head with Swifties, and making the awkward miss-step of asking the CEO of Facebook to fix his $53 million debt via Twitter got to him.

Then again, he is Yeezy.
