Guys, It’s On Between Avicii And Deadmau5 Right Now

DJ feuds are the most entertaining of all musical feuds, beating out even hip-hop feuds for their sheer cattiness, name-calling and level of below-the-belt insults. 

With that in mind, gather round, because it’s ON right now between Avicii and Deadmau5, with the former today accusing the latter of being “the biggest dick in electronic music.”

It all started earlier this week when Noel Gallagher had a go at Avicii, accusing him of lacking musical talent, and standing behind a pair of “fake DJ decks pressing play on a CD player.”

Gallagher also singled out Deadmau5 for his “stupid fucking hat”, and in a lengthy blog post, Deadmau5 responded, writing his own scathing takedown of lazy DJs, without naming any names. 

Avicii, however, decided that Deadmau5 was accusing him of being a lazy DJ, and shit started to get real. (Yes, we’re also flashing back to biffos behind the bike sheds in grade five right now).

Deadmau5 mentioned in his blog post that he can’t play keyboards, and in the above Instagram post, Avicii offered to teach him – if he would agree to “stop all the hate.” Deadmau5 bit back:

The two then disappeared down a rabbit-hole of squabbling, with Avicii getting more and more angry each time Deadmau5 deliberately misspelled his name.
