Flume Surprise Drops New Track ‘Wall Fuck’ In His Very Real Newsletter

BREAKING FLUME NEWS: He’s done a sneaky and quietly dropped a new track called ‘Wall Fuck‘ that you can download for free.

BIGGER BREAKING FLUME NEWS: He did so via his newsletter.

That’s right, folks! Today’s bizarro news is that Flume – real name Harley Stretten – shared the news of his new track and his album’s launch date (Skin, May 27) via the newsletter no one knew he had. (See you in the comment section, everyone who’s been signed up since like 2012.)

“I’m in LA this week preparing for some shows at Coachella,” he wrote. “I wanted to give you this news before anyone since you’ve been signed up to the Flume newsletter for a while.”

A YouTube clip of ‘Wall Fuck’ (how good’s that name hey) went up earlier today but very quickly got taken down thanks to a copyright claim by Future Classic.

Flume might not have tweeted anything about his sick music news, but he *did* shoot out this article from a couple days ago, where Kai unpacks some of her deeply personal lyrics on his track ‘Never Be Like You‘, essentially confirming that yeah, it’s about when you fuck up and cheat on your SO.

For example, these lyrics:

I’m only human can’t you see

I made, I made a mistake

Please just look me in my face

Tell me everything’s OK

Heavy stuff, no? Kai explains: “We all make mistakes, every one of us. And if you love someone and they truly love you, you would hope they can accept you with all those flaws that every single one of us has.

“Here the realisation stage has hit home, and I’m just wanting reassurance and forgiveness from the person that really has my heart. There’s no such thing as perfection, but we can all try to be better people, can’t we?”
