Ed Sheeran Is Playing His New Stuff At A Secret Rooftop Gig In Oz Next Month

Attention, fans of loveable, dorky redheads playing choons on the guitar: Ed Sheeran is coming to Australia.

The multi Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter is set to release his third album ÷ (pronounced ‘divide’) on March 3rd, but he’ll be swinging by the Hit Network’s ‘World Famous Rooftop’ on February 5th to play his new stuff almost a full month before the dang thing is even released.

If you recall, they brought out Justin Bieber for much the same thing in 2015 and the party quite literally shut down an entire Melbourne city block.

As before, you’ll have to listen to the Hit Network all day for your chance to win tickets, so today feels like a good day to stick your headphones in on the pretence of ‘really trying to knuckle down’.

And if you’re not lucky in scoring tix, then never fear – two days later Sheeran will be performing with Nova’s Red Room Experience live from the Sydney Opera House, and the whole thing’s gonna be broadcast February 7th from 9pm AESDT across the radio network.

The response to the first singles from ÷ have been phenomenal. Sheeran released not one but two of ’em earlier this month, and both ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Castle on the Hill‘ broke Australian streaming records in their first 48 hours of release.

And to truly whet your appetite, the track list for ÷ looks a little something like this:
