DJ AM’s death was an ACCIDENT

DJ AM did not commit suicide

The death of celebrity disc jockey, DJ AM, was yesterday declared as an accidental overdose by the medical examiner’s office.

As we previously reported on PEDESTRIAN.TV, the celebrity DJ, who dated singer-actress Mandy Moore and reality TV star Nicole Richie, was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Friday August 29th with 6 pills in his stomache, one still in his throat, surrounded by prescription pill bottles and a crack pipe.

A toxicology report showed 36 year old DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, had in his system a deadly cocktail of cocaine, Hydrocodone, OxyContin, Klonopin which controls anger, anxiety drugs Xanax and Ativan, Benadryl and Levamisole a drug apparently used to cut cocaine.
The medical examiner’s office said ‘The cause of death was acute intoxication due to the combined effects of the drugs’.

‘For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend. To say that he will be missed beyond words is an understatement.’ Said ex-girlfriend Mandy Moore in a statement.

It was a tragic end to Goldstein’s 10 year battle to stay clean.
