ATTN: DIPLO FANS.
The super-producer – who makes up one-half of Jack Ü and one-third of Major Lazer – has confirmed his 2017 Australian tour dates AND dropped the bombshell that new Major Lazer music coming out. Hell yes!
He told Triple J‘s Matt and Alex this morning that his next Aussie tour would be “more of a club show” after hitting the festival circuit for years.
“I haven’t done any solo shows in Australia in venues for like eight years because I’ve only been playing the festival circuit so I wanna come back and do more of a club show,” he said.
He’s also got bloody loads of new music coming in hot.
“I’ve got some new Major Lazer records coming out at the top of the year… an Afrobeat record we did, some hip hop songs I’ve done, about four tracks, and some club stuff. Doing everything….”
Also, just casually, just fyi, he’s bringing some friends too, and “it’s gonna be crazy”. His tour is scheduled for the exact same time as Justin Bieber‘s, whose hit ‘Where Are Ü Now‘ is produced by Skrillex and Diplo. Coincidence? Probably / hopefully not.
