Delta Goodrem Responds To Those Arcade Fire Accusations

A few weeks ago The Bronze Monument Made of 40% Hair, formerly known as Delta Goodrem, was served up some cold hard justice by The Supreme Court of The Internet when she was accused of ripping off the (Grammy Award-winning, critical adored) Arcade Fire single ‘Rebellion (Lies)’ from the band’s 2005 album, Funeral. Delta has since responded to accusations levelled at her via some pretty vicious threads on #socialmedia (here’s looking at you, Facebook) by maintaining that…

“I hadn’t heard of (Rebellion (Lies)) until that moment and then I checked it out and was blown away. They’re incredible. I think the whole thing was a bit of a storm in a teacup.”

As someone who is both drinking tea and listening to Arcade Fire at this very moment, let me tell you it’s not a bad position to be in. Delta, however, might want to borrow an umbrella – lest her fake tan run! – because I’ve got a feeling a whole new storm in a teacup is brewing (brewing works for both tea and storms). Just don’t ask to borrow one from these guys – because that might be considered plolgiarism, right Delts?

“Right.”
