Earlier this week music journalists and bloggers received an enigmatic poster which read “Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse present … DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL” a new collaborative project which enlisted superstars of the music and film worlds, or so it claims.
According to the poster the collaborators include Black Francis aka Pixies’ Frank Black, the Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, Vic Chesnutt, the Flaming Lips, Grandaddy’s Jason Lytle, the Shins’ James Mercer, the Cardigans’ Nina Persson, Iggy Pop, Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys, and Suzanne Vega and visuals by David Lynch.
We can’t confirm its legitimacy, but even if it’s an extended April Fool’s joke the prospect of David Lynch creating visuals for a Frank Black, Iggy Pop and Danger Mouse collaboration is mighty enticing…
