Continuing to fan the flames surrounding their second coming, wily purveyors of the dance Daft Punk have aired another album teaser today at Coachella that confirms a veritable A-list of additional musical collaborators, including The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, Animal Collective’s Panda Bear, Chilly Gonzales and Pharrell’s Pharrell; adding to a legendary roll call that already includes songwriter Paul Williams, Giorgio Moroder, Todd Edwards and Nile Rodgers.
UPDATED: Here’s a better quality video of the Get Lucky teaser. So many sequins.
UPDATE #2: Saint Laurent Paris (née Yves Saint Laurent) have revealed that creative director Hedi Slimane collaborated with Daft Punk on the duo’s new look, which as above noted, includes a lot of sequins.
Pitchfork have also sourced another low-quality video of the album trailer, which features over a minute of new music.
Random Access Memories will launch May 17th at the Annual Wee Waa Show in rural NSW and is available now for pre-order for $16.99; a small price to pay for over 74 minutes of new-era disco happiness.
